WHAT IS SKIN-ICING?

Skin-icing is a skin care method that relies on the virtues of cold for the skin. The technique is very simple, just pass an ice cube over your face for a few minutes. Under the action of the very low temperature of the ice cube, the skin regains its radiance and firmness, the pores are tightened, the bags and dark circles are reduced, the appearance of wrinkles is delayed, and the blood circulation is revived. The results are almost immediate. The benefits of cold on the skin are numerous and this discovery is not new. This grandmother's trick, used for a long time, has recently resurfaced especially thanks to multiple videos on Instagram and Tiktok. This low-cost method is inspired by cryotherapy, which consists of improving the condition of the skin and health through cold. To vary the pleasures and respond to different skin problems, there are different "recipes" of ice cubes (to discover below).

THE VIRTUES OF SKIN-ICING FOR THE SKIN

Massaging your face with an ice cube is a simple action that is full of benefits for your skin. This contrast with the temperature of the surface of the epidermis plays in our favor and has what to seduce:

- The skin-icing stimulates and activates the blood circulation. The complexion regains its radiance. The icy effect revives tired faces, the epidermis is sublimated and smoothed. This technique is ideal to obtain a glowy complexion in a few minutes.

- The skin-icing, thanks to its astringent effect and its freshness, limits the appearance of the buttons, calms the inflammations, relieves the skin and attenuates the rednesses. It is particularly recommended in case of imperfections and acne.

- The tightening effect of the cold on the skin tightens the pores and limits the production of sebum. Pores are less visible, skin texture is refined and sebum is regulated.

- The cold acts as a decongestant treatment. The action of the ice cube stimulates microcirculation and gradually deflates the skin. Under the eyes, the cold is very effective in reducing puffiness and dark circles.

- Cold is an anti-aging ally. It fights against the formation of wrinkles, lifts the facial features and tones the skin by stimulating blood circulation.

The problem with the "classic" ice cube? A too small size, which tends to melt as soon as it is applied, sharp edges and a bit complicated to handle. We offer you the first ready-to-use kit to create your own sorbet sticks! An ideal format, perfectly adapted to the face, for a radiant and luminous skin.

SOME VALUABLE TIPS ON SKIN-ICING

- The face must be free of all impurities and makeup residue before using the stick. So don't forget to remove your makeup and clean your skin before use.

- Apply the sorbet stick to your face with circular movements.

- To prevent the stick from sticking to the skin, run it under water for a few seconds beforehand.

- For sensitive and reactive skin, wrap the stick in a clean cloth so that the ice cube is not in direct contact with the skin.

- Never leave the stick on your skin for more than 10 minutes.

- If you are averse to the skin-icing trend and your skin is too reactive, turn to the Gua Sha alternative. Place the tool in the freezer for a few minutes before use. Made from Rose Quartz, the Gua Sha brings real benefits to the face.

- Once the skin-icing is finished, don't forget to apply an organic moisturizer to finish your beauty routine.
