Does your acne leave scars and redness? All our advice to reduce them, for a flawless complexion.
Scars, burns, acne... The skin can be subjected to numerous aggressions and traumas that leave red marks, sometimes in relief. These scars can cause complexes, as they tend to remain visible for a long time. Depending on the traumas it has undergone, the skin can take a very long time before it regenerates completely. Some skins heal quickly, while others heal more slowly. Here are our tips for accelerating the natural regeneration of the skin in order to reduce acne scars, red marks and other scars.

WHAT'S AN ACNE SCAR?
An acne scar is a more or less visible trace, caused by the fight of the cells against an aggression. The scar depends on whether the deep or superficial layers of the skin are affected. The wound is normally replaced by a granulation tissue composed of collagen fibres. These fibres fill the wound and help to repair the damaged area. However, when the damage is deep, the skin is unable to regenerate and this tissue remains visible. Sometimes it is mainly the vessels in the skin that have been damaged, as in the case of red acne scars.
THE SPECIFICS OF ACNE SCARS
Depending on the condition of the skin, acne scars may be red and/or raised. If the redness eventually fades over time and with the right treatment, raised scars tend to remain over the very long term. This is often the result of certain habits, such as the habit of piercing the acne pimple. This disrupts the healing process by creating additional trauma to the skin. Sometimes, even the most conscientious people who take care not to interfere with the natural skin healing process have significant damage. This depends on the skin's genetics and its natural ability to regenerate itself. However, there are ways to encourage skin regeneration.
SUNKEN ACNE SCARS
This type of acne scar is most often found on the forehead, cheeks and chin. It is characterized by a sunken appearance, as they form small depressions of varying size and depth. They can take different forms:
- Ice pick": the scar is one to two millimetres in diameter and a few millimetres deep.
- U-shaped or cupuliform: its diameter is larger but it is shallower.
- Wide with a border at the cutaneous level: it has a quadrangular shape and is deep.
In any case, the acne scar may take on a different shape, size and relief. It can be an area of depigmentation or hyperpigmentation, as in the case of red acne scarring.
RED ACNE SCARS
These acne scars are caused by the inflammation that accompanied the pimple. They are slower to start, especially on fair skin, which is naturally thinner and tends to have redness. Fortunately, these scars are rarely permanent.

WHAT TREATMENT FOR SCARS AND MARKS?
Whether you have a red acne scar or another mark, skin regeneration is essential. It can then be given a boost, without necessarily resorting to laser treatment by a dermatologist. Sometimes all it takes is a natural skincare routine for a few months to restore clear skin and say goodbye to acne scars.
SKIN DISINFECTION: AN ESSENTIAL STEP
In case of pimples, it is essential to start by disinfecting the skin. An infection can impair the healing process. To gently disinfect the skin, Tea Tree essential oil is perfect because it has a very high anti-microbial power while respecting the bacteria essential to skin balance. This essential oil is combined with the green clay in our Green Mask to effectively fight acne pimples and prepare the healing process.
SKIN CARE TO PROMOTE SKIN REGENERATION
In order to erase the superficial marks due to acne and to promote skin regeneration, it is essential to take care of the skin on a daily basis with suitable products. By using them on a regular basis, our products of natural origin will allow you to improve the condition of your scars. Thus, moisturizing active ingredients such as aloe vera have many healing and regenerating properties. Its many vitamins help the skin to become healthier. Applied over the long term, aloe vera attenuates pigmentation spots and the relief of certain marks.
Some clarifying masks such as the Stain Mask are excellent stain removers. Indeed, lemon juice is effective against all pigmentation spots, including acne scars, as it is particularly rich in vitamin C. The latter is essential for good cell regeneration. This type of mask should be applied twice a week to all areas of the face with pigmentary defects. Be careful, however: lemon is photo-sensitizing, so avoid sun exposure immediately afterwards, especially in case of acne. This can accentuate hyperpigmentation and therefore the visibility of red acne scars. It is therefore best to apply in the evening before bedtime.

PEELING TO REMOVE SCARS
By working on different layers of the epidermis, the dermatological peel removes the toughest scars to make new skin. It allows to cleanse the skin in depth but also to erase acne scars. Indeed, this protocol stimulates the production of collagen and promotes the renewal of skin cells. It is however a process that is sometimes quite heavy and aggressive, not recommended on sensitive skin. Moreover, on deep scars, it is not always sufficient.
For a gentler "peeling", our Rose Granité Organic mask is ideal, thanks to its composition which combines Akane's Oleoactif, fruit AHAs and apple seed powder. This natural peeling is gentle, so as not to damage the skin. Used over the long term and twice a week, it is effective in reducing acne scars but also in clarifying the skin.
GOOD HYDRATION
In addition, it is important to know that good hydration is essential for the regeneration of the skin, especially at night because that is when it repairs itself. To reduce marks and scars, it is therefore necessary to moisturize the skin of your face. The application of a moisturizing cream in the evening will deposit a protective cocoon on it so that the cells can regenerate properly.
The moisturizing jelly infusion refreshes, soothes and moisturizes in a single step. Its light texture is ideal for all those suffering from acne and wishing to moisturize their skin lightly, without greasing it. The infusion jelly contains 95% pure organic aloe vera juice, naturally rich in amino acids, vitamins A, B, C, E and trace elements. The skin is soothed and smoothed, the appearance of acne scars gradually diminishes.
Thanks to its gel texture, the cocoon night mask moisturizes the skin continuously throughout the night, without any oily effect. While cell regeneration is at its peak between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m., the skin is deeply moisturized and the complexion glows in the morning!
HOW TO PREVENT THE APPEARANCE OF RED ACNE SCARS AND OTHER MARKS?
The acne scar is the consequence of acne, and sometimes the result of bad reflexes to be banished. If you want to avoid red or brownish acne scars, with more or less important reliefs: favour new gestures.
It's best to start by not touching your buttons. Be aware that atrophic or hypertrophic scars form craters or growths in the skin tissue, making them very difficult to treat.
For pigmentary marks, such as red acne scars but also brown, white and discoloured spots, protect your skin with a sunscreen.
Finally, don't wait to treat acne marks and promote skin regeneration with the right care. Also think about a healthy diet, rich in vitamins. It is also useful to use certain food supplements, such as Zinc, vitamin C or brewer's yeast, which help the skin to repair itself in depth.
Anna - "I have a lot of marks related to hormonal acne outbreaks. I used the meringue mask as a 3 day a week treatment for 1 month, and I feel like my marks are less visible. The smell is very pleasant."
