Face Mapping: understanding your imperfections

Face Mapping: understanding your imperfections

18/05/2022

Acne, even mild, can have many causes: inadequate diet, hormonal problems, fatigue, etc. There is a method, inspired by traditional Chinese medicine, that allows you to understand your imperfections in order to treat them better. Its name? Face mapping.

WHAT IS FACE MAPPING?

The mind and the body are linked in every way. Thus, it is logical to associate our imperfections with physical or psychological disorders. Face mapping allows you to better understand yourself by observing your skin and its signals. Each area of the face corresponds to a problem that you are able to solve!

The objective is to make your own diagnosis by observing your imperfections. Please note that this holistic approach does not replace a medical diagnosis by your general practitioner or dermatologist, especially for severe acne.

HOW TO DO IT ?

In French, "face-mapping" is simply translated as "carte du visage". This process consists of dividing the face into seven zones as shown on the diagram on the right.

It's up to you to spot your imperfections and read the captions associated with them!

1. I have a pimple on my forehead

The forehead is linked to the digestive system. A bad diet favors the appearance of imperfections. It is possible that your skin rebels after a meal too fatty and sweet.

The solution: A healthy diet will give your complexion back its purity!

2. I have a pimple between my eyebrows

Your liver is sending you a message! Alcohol consumption marks this area of the face. Another reason may be a reaction to a food intolerance.

The solution: Moderate alcohol consumption and medical tests will help your skin.

3. I have a pimple on my nose

A pimple on the nose is often the result of high cholesterol levels.

The solution: Stop eating foods containing bad fats for a healthier and more varied diet.

4. I have a pimple on my cheeks

This area is linked to two addictions: cigarettes and the telephone. In Chinese medicine, the cheeks represent the respiratory organs, hence the impact of cigarettes. Our phones are often full of bacteria that damage our complexion.

The solution: Stop smoking and remember to clean your phone regularly!

5. I have a pimple on my chin

Pimples on the chin often indicate a hormonal imbalance or stomach problems.

The solution: A detox cure with gluten and lactose free meals. Green tea is your ally!

6. I have a pimple on my jawbone

Hormonal pimples appear on the jawbone a few days before the menstrual cycle.

The solution: Unfortunately the only remedy is patience. You can always help the pimple disappear with treatments like the Cataplasm Mask.

7. I have a pimple on my temples

Pimples on the temples are a sign of possible dehydration. Your body needs water to release toxins and give you smooth, clear skin.

The solution: Drink water without moderation!
